To apply for a grant

The Assar Gabrielssons Foundation's purpose is to promote clinical research in cancer.

The  foundation can presently offer the following types of subsidies:

• Travel Grant Öppnas i nytt fönster.:
  Applications for travel grants can be submitted all year round, no later than two months before the start of a scheduled trip. The trip must be directly related to cancer research and requires an active attending such as a poster presentation. Max. one grant is approved per applicant and calendar year.
• Research Grant Öppnas i nytt fönster.:
  Application for research grants shall be yearly submitted to the secretariat by October 1. The applications are then reviewed by the Board who gives its final decision in December.
• AG Bigger Research Project Öppnas i nytt fönster.:
  Two grants for bigger projects are usually awarded annually, preferably one for pre-clinical cancer research project and one for clinical cancer research project. All types of cancer research can be considered as long as the clinical research issue one intend to help resolving is clearly identified and has a clinical significance. Applications' deadlines are March 1 for step 1 and May 1 maj for step 2.
• Assar Gabrielssons Award Öppnas i nytt fönster.:
  Since 2005, AG-FOND yearly awards its Price for an excellent thesis in the field of cancer research given within the University of Göteborg, Västra Götaland’s Region.The award includes a research grant of SEK 100 000 rewarded in autumn of the same year. Application shall be yearly submitted to the secretariat by February 1.
  
• Contribution to Special Investments Öppnas i nytt fönster.:
  Grant are annually awarded for special investments in clinical and preclinical cancer research with clear clinical focus. These special investments can be grants for equipment or seminars, conferences or similar venues. Application can be submitted continually but at least 4-6 weeks before start of events.
